How should I invest my money to make more money in a short amount of time?
I’m 22 years old, and wanting to purchase a house in the next year or two. I have money in savings right now which is making terribly low interest. What would be my best move? I’d like to invest the money short term, but I’d like to make a good amount of money doing so. Is that possible and how? CD’s and Money Market accounts just aren’t gonna give me the results I want.

Say that money is no limit – I mean, for 10-trillion dollars you could use that money to invest in programs that save the lives of countless pets. Thus, by eating your own pet, you could save the pets of others.

Why do some owe money and others get a refund for their taxes?
i file my taxes every year no matter how little i make but i still dont understand how doing your income taxes work. how come some of us owe money and others get a refund? if there’s an amount in the federal withholding doesnt that mean you should automatically get some money back? my boyfriend has worked part-time at the same job for more than 3 yrs and he some how has owed money to the IRS every year. how come he gets nothing back? in what conditions will one owe money and in what conditions will one get a refund?
My Mortgage Insurance was financed with the home and does not appear on 1098, can I still deduct it?

The amount is over 2K and it is listed on my Settelment Statement. Mortgage is though Bank of America. I was planning to call IRS and my bank but they are closed on the weekends.
